Who we are

SponsorScope is a Chrome extension that helps UK visa job seekers check whether companies hold a valid UK sponsor licence. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. Questions can be sent to support@sponsorscope.co.uk.

Data stored on your device only

Most data never leaves your computer. The following is stored in Chrome local storage and is not sent to our servers:

• Your Companies House API key
• Your saved shortlist of companies
• Your search history within the extension
• Your extension settings and preferences

Data we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email or personal details unless you contact us directly
• We do not track your browsing activity
• We do not sell data to third parties
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies
• We do not store payment details. All payments go through Stripe

Third party services we connect to

• UK Home Office Sponsor Register, publicly available government data used to check sponsor status
• Companies House API, UK government service that verifies whether a company is actively trading
• Stripe, handles subscription payments. Stripe has its own privacy policy
• Cloudflare Workers, used to cache and serve sponsor register data efficiently

Payments

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Stripe provides us with a subscription status so we can validate your access and nothing more.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, delete or transfer any personal data we hold. Since most data lives locally on your device you can clear it by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome storage. For anything else email support@sponsorscope.co.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product grows. The date at the top of the page shows the most recent update. Continued use of SponsorScope after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
